Might as well have the conversation here; it'll be short: this usage (working copy on Samba) is not supported by Subversion. A few people have succeeded at it, most of them only after endless travails, but they then find that the performance is so bad they undo it all. Most who go down this road are never heard from again.

As specifically regards the context menu ... uh, what context menu? We lost our context menu in Snow Leopard, when Finder went 64-bit, and have not yet managed to get it back. In the mean time, we use the ToolbarButton app. Or, was that what you meant?

Try checking the "Recursive" check box on the check-out dialog.
